  • How can I expect to feel after a treatment?

    Most of the time, you will feel much better after a treatment but responses vary. You may feel a little sore for 24-48 hour following a deeper massage, especially if you have not had one for some time, but this usually disappears fairly quickly. If you receive a lymphatic drainage treatment, you may experience mild symptoms as your body detoxifies and and releases lymph fluid either during or after treatment. Please ask if you are concerned.

  • I have a serious medical condition. Can you treat me?

    It depends on the condition as some health conditions are contraindicated for complementary health treatments. I may request medical consent prior to treatment, so if you are unsure please mention it when you make the appointment.

  • Can I purchase a Therapy In The Dales Gift Voucher?

    Yes, of course. They are available in all denominations and for all treatments. You may purchase direclty from the wesbite using PayPal. If you don't have a PayPal account please contact me directly for other options. If you purchase via PayPal, please then contact me with further details regarding the voucher such as the recipient's name and how you would like to receive it.

  • Is there anywhere to park?

    Please allow adequate time to park and find the clinic. Free parking is available in nearby streets but there may be time restrictions in some streets of 40 minutes.  There is also a council car park in Market Square. Please note that Tuesday is market day, as is the first Saturday of the month, and parking may be challenging at these times.

  • I am unable to climb stairs. Will this be a problem?

    Although the clinic in Market Place does have quite a few stairs, there is an easier access option to visit me at my home clinic in Wirksworth.

  • What is your Cancellation Policy?

    If you need to cancel or amend your appointment please try to give at least 24 hours notice. There is no cancellation fee where adequate notice is given, or if cancellation is unavoidable at short notice.Please respect the fact that I have clients on my waiting list. Clients who miss appointments without adequate notice may be requested to pay a 100% cancellation fee. Unfortunately, due  to no show clients,  I do require a 50% deposit paid via bank transfer to secure your appointment.

  • What should I wear?

    It's up to you, although it's a good idea to wear something loose and comfortable if you are coming for a massage or reflexology. For example, if you are having an upper body massage, it is not ideal to wear jeans or tight trousers as you may feel constricted. You will be covered by a towel at all times to protect your modesty during treatment. Suitable underwear is advised if you are having a leg massage. 

  • Do you accept insurance?

    Please check your private medical insurance policy. I will issue a receipt should you require one

  • Can I pay by card?

    Absolutely! You may pay with a card, by cash, bank transfer orr cheque.
